This original flag was made between the 1930s - 40s by master flag maker Kweku Kakanu, mythical griffins and wyverns of European heraldry inspired the iconology of the dragon on this flag and was one of the popular requested designs during the early 20th century.

 

The seven-headed dragon is a sign of fearsome power against rivals and the "all-seeing" who can spot enemies from all angles that wish to attack.

 

Seven heads also represent the Asafo Company council, made up of seven elders (beesuonfo)

 

Proverb:

"Will you fly or will you vanish!? Either way, you can't escape us"
