One of our favorite flags from our collection.

When the cat's away, the mice will play!

This flag depicts mice scampering around a castle with a flag flying at full mast.

The meaning suggests that when someone in authority or supervision is not present, people (mice) may take advantage and indulge in mischievous behavior they wouldn't dare to do in an authority's presence.

This depiction is often used to highlight the importance of supervision and discipline within a community to prevent mischief.
