Exceptionally Rare 19th century Fante Asafo Banner.

This month we have acquisition of this very fine long 185ft processional banner.

During annual Asafo festivals the banners are hung on tall poles or carried in parades.

This colourful stunning long banner was made as a public demonstration of prosperity by a wealthy company.

Long processional banners up to 650ft are exceptionally rare and are an important part of a companies regalia.
